Your Story Matters! Let’s Inspire the Next Woman to Go
Hello Fellow Travelers! You are amazing! I’m happy you are here with me.

I believe that many of you reading my blog have already done some or many road trips and would love to hear about other women out there also do the same thing, have same passion like you. I love that and encourage you would share more stories and inspire other women do same things like you are doing. I believe that all of us want to do a lot of amazing things and happy in our life. I am here to start this mission and would love to hear your support, empower other women to be stronger and happier in life no matter about your age.
I would start with my own story:
I still remember my first solo road trip on October 14, 2023. Fall colors were calling my name, and Mammoth Lakes was glowing in golden color. I planned just enough to feel brave, left room for mistakes, and packed my car with more nerves than gear. I didn’t leave early like I planned. Honestly, I almost didn’t go. I stayed in bed, making excuses, and told myself: maybe next week, maybe next month, I don’t need to go today.
But my husband looked at me and said the words that changed my life:
“LoAnn, Just go.”
So I went. Not at 6 a.m. like I imagined. More like 12:30 p.m. But I drove out of my driveway and onto the highway, and that road opened up a new version of me I didn’t know was waiting.
I camped one night, stayed in a hotel the second because I didn’t plan well, got scared a few times, made mistakes, and still came home smiling like I just met the happiest side of myself. I didn’t come back as someone fearless, I came back as someone braver.
Since that day, I’ve visited many beautiful places, driven more than 20,000 miles across states, parks, and borders. I’ve slept in my SUV, stayed in campgrounds, crossed into Canada, and stood in places I once only saw in pictures. Every mile I drove, I carried one message with me:
If I could do it, so can you.
But this post isn’t just about me, it’s about you.

Why Your Story is Powerful
Maybe you’re a woman who has already traveled solo across countries, or maybe you just took your first bus ride alone. Maybe you backpacked through Europe, road-tripped the desert, flew to another country, camped in your car, or simply walked into a restaurant and ate alone for the first time. That is a story.
Your story doesn’t have to be “big” to matter. It just has to be yours.
Women out there: young, retired, single, married, divorced, scared, curious, they are all waiting for someone like them to prove it’s possible.
Some of them are:
- Afraid to eat alone in public
- Waiting for a friend to join before booking tickets
- Scared of driving long distances
- Told “it’s not safe to go alone”
- Discouraged by family or partners
- Thinking they’re too old or too inexperienced
- Stuck in planning but never starting
And you might be the person who inspires them to finally take that step.
Why I Want You to Share Your Story
I started writing because women around me kept asking questions:
“How did you start?”
“Weren’t you scared?”
“What if something goes wrong?”
“What if no one goes with you?”
“How did you sleep in your car?”
“What if people judge you?”
They were curious, but they were also scared. And fear is quieter when someone else goes first.
That’s why I began sharing. And now, I want you to join me.
This blog is not just about my journey, I want it to become our space, a fire circle of adventure stories written by women for women who haven’t started yet.
Imagine this:
- A woman in her 20s reads your story and books her first weekend trip.
- A mom in her 40s decides she deserves one night under the stars by herself.
- A widow in her 60s takes her first train ride alone because someone like her already did.
- A traveler across the world becomes brave because she saw you didn’t wait.
You might not think your experience is inspiring, but to someone else, it’s the sign they were waiting for.
You Don’t Need Permission to Inspire Someone
Maybe you’ve done one small solo trip. Maybe you’ve visited three countries. Maybe you’ve lived in a van for six months. Or maybe you’re still planning your first flight and just went to a coffee shop alone to “practice” being comfortable.
Guess what? Someone needs that story.
You don’t have to be perfect. You just need to tell your real story.
Women in every stage of life are waiting to see themselves in your journey. And when you share, you light the path for someone else.
We’re Building Something Bigger Together
I’m not here to be the only voice. I want this blog to grow into a community of solo-minded women, any age, any background, any travel style:
- Backpackers
- Car campers
- Road trippers
- Hikers
- Digital nomads
- Hotel lovers
- Budget travelers
- First-timers
Every one of us is different, and that’s the magic. We don’t need to match, we need to connect.
- I want to create a space where:
- Women read and feel SEEN
- Stories turn into courage for others
- We celebrate every kind of journey
- We lift each other instead of waiting alone
- Confidence gets passed from one traveler to the next
- You’re not just welcome here—you BELONG here.
